Audi Grand Prix

Banbridge CC's Roger Aiken and Phoenix CC's Matthew Ward turned the Audi Grand Prix into a two-up Time Trial today at Ballynure.
The pair left the 50 plus field on the second of 8 laps building up a lead of almost 2 minutes which they held through most of the race.

In the sprint finish Aiken proved the strongest leading from a long way out and still getting the verdict.

Five riders jumped clear of the bunch on the last lap with Owen Jeffries (Northern-Dave Kane) leading in Paul Bloomer (Harps CC), Mark Greer (Maryland Wheelers), Mark Lyttle (U/A) and Philip Marshall (Toyota North Down) at 35 seconds.

Brendan Kirk (Ard's CC) won the bunch sprint at 1-05 with Willie Hamilton (East Antrim-Audi CC) and Brendan Graham (Total Cycling-Lindsay Ford) completing the top ten.
