Heverin Takes the Result at Toome

Clann Eireann's John Heverin was the fastest man in the Phoenix CC promotion of the Jimmy Devlin '10' at Toome this evening. The event also counts as part of the Dave Kane Cycles TT League. Weather conditions were poor with rain coming on just after the riders started and a cool breeze. Heverin was the only rider to go below 22 minutes with his time of 21.21. Mark Brown of Phoenix was pleased to take second position with a time of 22.03 as he can see his times steadily improving. Once again 'Sox the Mad' was only interested in beating Madigan team-mate Nigel Laffin and was delighted to so by 16 seconds tonight.

Apologies to all those who were roped in to help tonight. Tommy and I knew we would be late but assumed the situation was under control. We are very grateful to Eddie McKinney who did start time keeper and Sean McNicholl who acted as pusher off. I hope everyone goes out any supports Sean in his new bike shop venture in Portglenone. The shop, Bikeshack, will be open for business very soon so make sure to call in and pay Sean and Adrian a visit. He deserves it after being caught out pushing off on a number of occasions.
