Cycling Ulster’s MTB XC Squad Head For Scotland

On Saturday 8th July, Cycling Ulster's MTB XC Squad will compete in the third round of the British NPS at Drumlanrig Estate near Dumfries in Scotland. Riders making the trip are, Willam Boyd,Jack Wilson and Michael Runciman (U-14), Liam McGreevy,Johnny Beers and Jess Laird (U-16), and Graham Boyd will be the sole Junior rider.

The second round in Wales brought the best results yet for the squad and hopefully the Scottish trip will provide more success for the hard working team. East Antrim Audi's Jack Wilson makes his debut for the Team following some great results over the past few months. Sean Downey will miss the trip as he will be in Belgium with the Irish Road Team, while Neil McGimpsey is on holiday. Team managers for the trip are, Eddie Boyd, Jim Laird and Billy
Ferguson.

An interesting addition to the entry for the Pro/Elite race will be Dromore's Roger Aiken, who will be riding in the Terry Dolan colors. Roger, recently having split with the Sean Kelly Team, has also targeted the Irish MTB XC Champs in Bray on 16th July. To add to the fun in Scotland, 18 members of Banbridge CC will also be making the trip.
