Events coming up this weekend – 31 August

Termoneeny Cycling Club and Omagh Wheelers CC will be running leisure events this weekend. Island Wheelers will be running the Ernie Magwood Super Six TT at Woodgreen

Termoneeny Annual Charity Club - 31 August 2014
· Starting from Termoneeny Centre Gulladuff
· Sign on from 8.30am
· Fee £10.00
· Leaving at 10.00am
· Two routes (1) 27 miles (2) 55 miles
· Refreshments both before and after the event
· Nominated Charity this year is Charis Integrated cancer care

Western Hill Sportive - 31 August 2014
Omagh Wheelers CC once again promote their annual sportive on Sunday 31st August 2014. Based in the foothills of the Sperrin mountains, Omagh is surrounded by beautiful scenery and epic roads.
This year’s event will feature two routes covering 100 miles and 100kms. The 100mile ‘hilly’ route traverses Tyrone, before bridging through Donegal and has a total ascent of 5808ft! The shorter 100kms route is still tough going with a total ascent of 3363ft. The event will offer chip timing for all participants so that they can measure their performance. All finishers will also receive a ‘Western Hills Certificate’ confirming that they are definitely ‘mad for the hills’. The usual excellent spread of food will be provided afterwards, and showers will be available. Omagh Wheelers are renowned for running professional events and providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Pre-entry is closed but you can sign up on the day for £20. Location: Youth Sports, Killyclogher road, Omagh. BT79 7NZ.

Ernie Magwood Super Six TT - 31 August 2014
Island Wheeler will be hosting the Ernie Magwood Super Six TT this Sunday at Woodgreen. This is the 5th round of the series and will be a 10 mile time trial. Sign on opens at 9:00 with the first rider away at 10:00. Fee £5
