‘Tracking’ Progress

Orangefield Track is beginning to take off due to the hard work of Brian Nugent and Morris Foster. There were twenty competitors last week and almost the same again this week. Last night the fine evening made conditions ideal for training and racing. With Anthony Mitchell on the derney, training began in earnest.

There was a good mixture of youth, junior and senior riders.

Even Tommy Lamb, Chairman of Cycling Ulster and John Bann Lavery, CU's Youth Development Officer had to get into the action. We would like to see what they could do if they were properly kitted out!!

Due to the postponement of hte NICF Open Chamionships there is now a free date in the calendar so Brian and Morris are exploring the possibility of holding a track meet on Saturday the 29th May. Further details will be posted on site later.
