Castlereagh Success at Navan

Castlereagh C.C. were well rewarded with their trip to Navan for the Cycleways Cup series of races. Seventeen year old Peter Hawkins, fresh from his victory the previous day at Annaclone, emerged victor once again in the Third Cat, Veteran and Junior event.
In the B event Gerard Heverin finished in 6th place to add to Castlereagh's success.
Newly formed Cycling Ulster club Crannog Ireland also tasted success with Paul Mulligan winning the Senior B race.
The main event was won by V. Gleeson (West Clare CC) while the best of the Cycling Ulster riders was Mark Kiernan (Total Cycling.Com) in 5th place.
