Stage 2 Tour of Mallorca

Cycling Ulster riders Stephen Gallagher and Philip Deignan put in excellent performances today in a shortened stage in Mallorca. Atrocious weather conditions forced the organisation to shorten the stage to 70km, instead of the expected 140. Both Gallagher and Deignan finished in the 2nd group of 20 riders sprinting for 5th place 10 seconds behind the stage winner. The rest of the Cycling ulster riders finished in the next group of 40 just over 1 minute further back including Brendan Docherty who survived a fall at the bottom of the descent of the Luc.
