02/05/12- Bikeworks UWA TT League Rd 2 – Woodgreen

Eight women turned out for the first 25 mile time trial in the  *Bikeworks Ulster Women’s Association* time trial league. Heather Foley (Maryland CC) took the win in 58:18. Mary Hunter (Dromore CC)  goes from strength to strength with every run out and achieved a PB of 1:00:12, closely followed by Amy Brice who rode her first ever 25 in 1:01:16.

All three girls are in great form going forward to the Celtic Chrono next week. This was the third event in the league, which is currently being led by Mary Hunter, followed by Rachel Whithers (westtyronevelo.com-FCC), with Foley, Brice and Hack not far behind. However with another 10 rounds to go there are plenty more opportunities to challenge for the top 6 places, the next event is a 10 miler on the Woodgreen on 16th May ( supported by BRC).

It was a pleasant evening, with a bit of a head wind from Dunsilly to Ballymena and a temperature of 14 degrees.
