Update on Weekend Events

St.Patrick's Day Cycle Race at Burt - Donegal Harvest Potato Race
North Pole CC are organising a series of races on St Patrick's Day  at Burt between Derry and Letterkenny. Everyone will go away a winner in these races because as least they will have 'spuds' without which no Irish dinner is complete - just ask your granny.

Donegal Harvest Potato Processors are donating a 5kg bag of potatoes for every finisher so that there is no excuse not to get the Irish stew on the go  for St Patrick's Day. Details of all the events are listed below.

Ronan McLaughlin of An Post Sean Kelly team has also confirmed that he will be lining up in the A race.

A Race..... For A1.A2 and A3 riders .........75k.
B RACE..... A4 and club riders with One-Day Licence........55k
C Race.......Masters Over-50 riders with A4 or club licence............55k.
Women.......55k.This race may be combined with C race if the women agree.

Start......St.Marys Hall,Burt near An Grianan Hotel www.angriananhotel.com ( on the N13 Derry-Letterkenny Road) at 10am sharp.

Route for all races
17k.to Manor Roundabout. Turn left heading for Lifford for 5k.(This is known as the Galdonagh Loop).Turn left heading for Newtowncunningham for 8k.Join Derry Road(N13) and turn left heading for Manor Roundabout 8k. Circle the roundabout and head back to start 17k.Total 55k.('A' Race will do the Galdonagh loop twice to make up 75k total.)

10am..........'A' RACE.......A3's go first,then A2's,then A1's.
10.10am.....'B' RACE........A4's
10.15am.....'C' RACE........Over 50's and Ladies.

Sign-on at St Marys Hall Burt from 9am.Entry Fee €10(£8).
Cash prizes for all category winners and 5kg.Bag of Donegal Harvest Potatoes for all finishers.

Naturally the main event of the day is the Time Square Jewellers Master's event. Current scoring is as follows

PJ Logan Event Details

Sign on will be from 10 am to 12.20 at the Gortgonis Sports Complex Coalisland.

The A race will start at 1 pm followed by the B race at 1.15 pm and then the 50 + Masters  and women
.The 50 + Masters  and women can sign on on the morning and this is £5.
The A race is 8 laps (54 miles), the B race is 5 laps (34 miles) and the over 50's and ladies will be 3 laps (21 miles).
There will be shower facilities and refreshments afterwards.
