Events 17th and 18th March 2012

Clann Eireann Cup - Saturday 17th March
On St Patrick's Day, Clann Eireann will be hosting the Clann Eireann Cup on the Derrymacash circuit. This event is open to A3 and A4 riders only and places are limited to sixty riders. The event is open for pre-entry and you can enter online by going to www.clanncc.net to register online.

With no A1's or 2's in the event it is an opportunity for A3 and A4 riders to amass points.

North Pole CC St Patrick's Day Races - Saturday 17th March
Also on St Patrick's Day, North Pole CC are hosting a series of races for A1's - A4's as well as the next round in the Time Square Jewellers Gold Cup Master's Series.

Northpole CC St Patrick’s Day Road Race..the course will be 26mile approximately going from Burt chapel to Manor roundabout and back with the finish line at the Slab Road. There will be A and B races as well as a 50+ Master’s  race on the day.

The A race will be going first with the A3 riders getting a handicap on the A1/”2 riders. This event will start at 10.00am

The A4 race will start at 10.10am with riders following the same route.

This will be shortly followed by the 50+ Master’s event.This will be an opportunity for North Pole CC to shine and perhaps notch up points in the Team Classification. With North Down and Banbridge already top of the leader board and Phoenix CC and North Pole CC following close behind this will be an interesting event.

Sign on for all events will be from 9.00am at Burt chapel with the race starting at 10am sharp. The entry fee will be €10.

Sunday 18th March 2012 - PJ Logan Cup Promoted by Island Wheelers
On the 18th March Island Wheelers will be promoting their popular PJ Logan Cup races. There will be three raaces on offer including a combined Masters and Women's race (Round 4 Time Square Gold Cup). Sign on is from 11:00am at Gortgonis Centre, Coalisland – riders will be neutralised to race start at 1:15pm – the first race will start at 1:30pm

3 races -
Race 1 for A* A1, A2 and A3 – to be 8 laps of race circuit – 54 miles approx (65 rider limit + waiting list)
Race 2 for A4 only and 5 laps of circuit – 34 miles approx (65 rider limit + waiting list)
Race 3 for Over 50′s and Women– 2 laps of course – 14miles approx – sign up on the morning for this race

Sunday 18th March 2012 - North South Trail Promoted by Omagh Wheelers

On Sunday 18th March 2012 leisure riders are not forgotten as  Omagh Wheelers host their second touring event of the year with the traditional North South Trail.
Following on from their superb efforts at the McCann Cup this is sure to be a well organised event.

There are two routes on offer: 50 miles and 70 miles.

Sign-On will take place at Youth Sport Centre in Omagh from 9.00am with riders departing at 10.00am.

Entry Fee is £10, with refreshments and changing available at the finish.

The route is as follows: Youth Sport - Strabane - Lifford - Castlefin - Castlederg - Scraghey - Ederney - Youth Sport (70 miles).

The 50 mile event will turn left at Castlederg towards Drumquin and onto Youth Sport.
