Ulster MTB XC Championships – 3 September 2011

Apollo Cycling Team are hosting this year's Ulster Cross-Country Mountain Bike Championships on Saturday 3 September 2011 at the Craigavon Watersports Centre. There will be races for the Under 8s up to the Elite men and women. The race categories are based on the UCI categories and those set by Cycling Ireland with the majority of riders competing in age classes.

Course Description:
The venue and course layout offer interest to riders of all skill levels as the 3 mile course is a mix of single track, open grass land (plus hill!) and open trails. There will be a separate grass track for the Under 8s and Under 10s to race on. This is... the perfect course for beginners of all ages and also ideal for the experienced riders as the course makes for an excellent open race circuit with plenty of places to pass other riders.

11:00 - Under 8s
11:15 - Under 10s
11:30 - Under 12s
12:00 - Under 16s, Senior 4 men, Senior 3 women, Under 14s
13:30 - Elite men, Elite women, Espoirs, Junior men, Junior women, Vets, Masters, Experts, Senior 2 women
15:45 - Prize giving - all categories

NOTE: SIGN ON CLOSES 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF EACH RACE.

Race Fees:
Under 8s and Under 10s - £2 / €2
Under 12s and Under 14s - £4 / €4
Under 16s - £5 / €5
Juniors - £9 / €10
Seniors - £15 / €15

THERE IS A DISCOUNT FOR SENIORS IF THEY PRE-REGISTER = £12 / €12

Ulster Championship medals
Championship medals will be awarded for the following races:
Elite men, Elite women, Espoirs, Junior men, Junior women, Veterans and Masters
Ulster medals will only be awarded to riders who satisfy the following criteria
(a) belong to a club based in Ulster, or
(b) are unattached but currently resident in Ulster

Criteria for winning championship medals
Championship medals will be awarded irrespective of the number of entrants in each category.
