Launch of the 6 round Ulster XC MTB Series with Davagh Forest on 1 May 2011
The 2011 Ulster Cross-Country Mountain Bike Series kicks off on Sunday 1 May 2011 at Davagh Forest near Cookstown. Host club Carn Wheelers have been working hard over the last few months modifying the course they had set out for the first time last year. This year the club was awarded a round of the National Point Series (NPS) which will attract a large contingent from the whole of Ireland.
There are races for the Under 8s up to the seasoned veterans. This round will be using the new adult race categories (Senior 1 to 4 men, Senior 1 to 3 women). Race fees £18 for adults, £9 juniors and free for all youth (Under 16).
To see what the course looks like you can check out the series website where the host club has provided videos of the circuit.
Pre-registration is now open and all riders are encouraged to make use of this facility to speed up registration on the day. Chip timing will be provided for the adult races.
