20:20 Cycle – United We Cycle Against Dementia
After the very successful 20:20 Cycle in 2016 The Alzheimer’s Society launch the 20:20 United Against Dementia Cycle in Northern Ireland. The event takes place on Sunday 13th May 2018 which will see the Launch of "Dementia Action Week" and is being hosted by Omagh Wheelers CC
The key message is: "Take action and help improve the lives of people with dementia".
This year, Dementia Awareness Week is changing to Dementia Action Week (21 to 27 May). Raising awareness and offering support will always be important, but it’s time we all act to make change happen for people affected by dementia.
In the UK, one person develops dementia every three minutes, yet too many people feel excluded and face the disease alone.
That’s why, this Dementia Action Week, we will be asking people to unite and take actions big and small to make a difference to the everyday lives of people with dementia.
