Lady Dixon Host Cyclocross on Sunday

Phoenix Cycling Club will be hosting Round 3 of the Ulster Cyclo-cross series at Lady Dixon Park in Belfast on Sunday 16 October 2016.  The club has used this venue over the past 5 years and has seen some great racing around this picturesque venue.  The club wish to thank Belfast City Council for their continued support.  Racing takes place in the upper area of the park, close to the Malone Road, with great vistas of beautifully laid out flower beds, walled gardens and meadows. The rolling hills make this an excellent venue for cross racing which should lead to some exciting battles all through the riders.   The start and finish area will be along the tarmac road with the main course turning left in through the trees out to the main sloping grass area.  Features again this year will include the sand steps and the sweeping corner known as "Carnage Corner", a great spectator view point.  Youth races will be encompassed within the trees close to the car park.

Pre-registration is necessary and this closes on Friday. For more details of race times and categories go to www.ulstercyclocross.com
