Kinning CX Training Booked Out

aOrangefield held host to Kinning Cycles Cyclocross Training day yesterday. The event was well supported by several different clubs and The Belgian project was there to capture it all. The great sunshine attracted a lot more than expected. The group was split in two. Glenn lead one group that worked on dismounts, remounts  and barriers. Andrew Patton took the other group to a typical hairpin section. This gave riders the opportunity to look at different racing lines through basic corners and how to ride fast and defensive. After this the riders tackled a tricky off camber section. Once this was mastered the riders focused on a high speed corner and worked on keeping speed though the corner.

Next up was a steep bank, and what ways to approach it. Riders also lined up to practice starts. The riders last obstacle was the boards and the instructers managed to get one rider jumping them. A talk on tyre and equipment choice was also given.

Glenn took the time to get round all the riders one on one and the feed back was great.
