Dromore CC Annual Charity Sportive Sunday 26th June 2016
On Sunday 26th June 2016, Dromore Cycling Club will be hosting their annual Charity Sportive. A choice of two routes will be available with both starting and finishing at Dromore RFC.

The 60 km (37 miles) with 518 m (1,700 ft) climbing route takes in Gilford, Scarva, Loughbrickland, Katesbridge.

The 100 km (62 miles) with 1,188 m (3,900 ft) climbing follows the same route but splits at Katesbridge to take in some of Co. Downs challenging climbs from Kilkinamurry, Kinallen, Drumkeeragh, Slieve Croob, Waringsford and back to Dromore. A water stop (with toilets!) is at Katesbridge 40km into the route.

There will be a finisher barbeque, tea/coffee/buns and ICECREAM! at the rugby club as well as use of the public bar. The Rugby club can provide parking, showers and changing facilities for both men and women.

Proceeds for the event are going to Dromore Cycling Clubs nominated charity for 2016 - Neurosurgical Ward Fund at the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast, and Via Wings, Dromore. Two very worthy causes helping people within our local community and across Northern Ireland. All proceeds (after costs which we keep to a minimum by very generous support) will be donated to the above, for most of us it's just a cycle but for some people it can be a lot more.

Pre-entry for the Dromore CC Charity Challenge closed on Tuesday 21st June 2016. Entry is limited to 250 riders. Entry was via  www.entrycentral.com

Gran Fondo Causeway

Please note that Bann Wheelers have taken the decision to cancel the Fondo Causeway due to take place this weekend due to circustances beyond their control.
