Madden and Burns Top the Leader Board in Jimmy Devlin 10
John Madden of Inspired Cycling notched up yet another time trial victory when he won the Jimmy Devlin Memorial 10 mile time trial tonight at Woodgreen. The event, promoted by Phoenix CC, saw almost seventy riders turn out on what proved to be a calm but cool evening. John took the victory with a 20:30, just one second faster than second placed rider Neil Clarke of Team Asea. Paul Carroll of Velo Café Magasin was third a further six seconds behind while Christian Natchtigall of Phoenix was fourth with a 20:41.

Eileen Burns topped the nine strong women's field with a 21:46 and giving her thirteenth overall. Her clubmate Claire McIlwaine was the second fastest woman on the night when she recorded a 23:21 while Judith Russell, also of Phoenix CC, was third with  23:56. Darrell Irwin of the Ulster Handcycling Association completed the course in 32:20.

May thanks to the hordes of marshalls who ad a very visible presence on the very busy road. Thans to Eamon Burns for the sign-on and Gordon Parker for the results. Thanks also to Commissaires Jean McGinley and Andy Wills.
