Road and Off Road Races this Week
There are two road races on this weekend with Orchard CC promoting both the Armagh Criterium tomorrow night, Wednesday, and the Groucho GP on Saturday and Newry Wheelers running the Tour of the Mournes on Sunday. In the off road discipline Caldwell Cycles will be hosting Round 3 of the Ulster Cross-country Mountain Bike Series at Ballykelly Forest. For more details of all these event see below
Wednesday 4th May 2016 : Armagh City Criterium : Orchard CC
The 2016 Armagh City Criterium for A4 riders will take place on Wednesday night and was a pre-entry event. This was a very exciting event last year as riders completed laps around the famous Armagh City Mall. Each lap is approx 3km long and is as follows: Mall East - Victoria Street - Drumadd Road - College Hill - Mall East.

Race sign on will be on the east side of the Mall with ample parking in the area. Sign on will open at 6pm and close at 6:45pm with the race starting at 7.00pm. Riders will race for 1 hour plus one lap.

Saturday 7th May 2016: Groucho's GP : Orchard CC
The annual Groucho's GP 2016 will take place on Saturday 7th May. This event went live for pre-entry on Friday 22nd April . Pre-registration was via the online portal, RACE PASS. This closes on Friday. There will be an A2/A3, A4 and Masters / Women's event at the Groucho GP. This event is always well attended so you are advised to get your entries in early. Orchard CC provide excellent refreshments back at Groucho's bar for all. Race date is Sat 7th May 2016.

Sunday 8th May : Tour of the Mournes : Newry Wheelers
The Annual Tour of the Mournes promoted by Newry Wheelers takes place on Sunday 8th May. This was a pre-entry event which was oversubscribed and is now closed. Sign-on takes place at Newry Sports Centre , 61 Patrick Street, Newry Co.Down from 8.30am with the race rolling out at 9.45am
Race Starts at 10.00am.
This event is supported by the PSNI who helps guide the race through the towns and villages enroute.
At the finish there will be hot showers and food with tea/coffee/sandwiches etc.

Sunday 8 May 2016. : Round 3 Ulster XC Series: Ballykelly Forest : Calwell Cycles
Pre-registration for this event is now open. Riders will be gridded based on the Ulster league series and only for those who pre-register for this race. The Ulster league will be posted separately. There will be a full programme of Youth events starting with the Undr6's. Sign-on for all events opens at 9.30am. Caldwell Cycles would appreciate if riders and spectators followed the car parking rules as the approach tot eh forest is on a very busy road.

No electric bikes or motorised bicycles permitted.
No cyclo-cross bicycles permitted.
