Weekend Road and Off Road Competitive Events

Orchard CC TT Cancelled
The Orchard CC promoted Time Trial which was due to take place on Saturday 23rd April has been cancelled. This is because the Tandragee 100 is taking place on that day on the same circuit. Orchard CC apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Mid Ulster GP Sunday 24th April
The Mid Ulster GP promoted by Harps Cycling Club will be held on Sunday 24th April 2016. Harps CC will be promoting racing for all categories so it will be a busy day for the club. Events kick off in the morning with the Youth Racing and races for Masters and Women. The sign-on location is Cookstown Cycles, Unit 1, Kilcronagh Industrial Estate, Cookstown, BT80 9HG and sign-on will be from 9.00am to 10.00am. There is no pre-entry for these events. The cost is £5 for youth racing and £10 for Women and Masters.

Race Details Below
Assembly point will be Kilcronagh Road at 10.20 for the race start at 10.30 sharp
Under 12 is 1 lap of a 7.5 mile course
Under 14 is 2 laps of a 7.5 mile course
Under 16 is 4 laps of a 7.5 mile course
Masters & Women 4 laps of a 7.5 mile course
The women's race will be part of the Ulster Womens RR League
The masters race will be part of the Cycling Ulster Masters League

Senior Racing was pre-entry and will take place in the afternoon. There is currently a waiting list in peration for both races.

Sign On is at:Mid Ulster Sports Arena, Tullywiggan Road, Cookstown, BT80 8SG
Sign On 1100 – 1230.
Assembly point will be Kilcronagh Road at 1250 for the race start at 1300 sharp
On-line entry via Entry Central and on line entry opened on Monday 28/03/16 at 2000hrs
Cost of entry is £12.00

A1, A2 & A3 handicapped race will be 6 laps of a 10 mile circuit.

A4 race will be 4 laps of a 10 mile circuit

Sunday 24th April Round 2 Ulster XC Series
On Sunday Dromara CC will be hoting the second round of the Ulster XC Series in Tollymore Fores Park. Pre-registration is now open for this event. Further details can be found HERE

Host club: Dromara Cycling Club

Course Description:
The start/finish area will be in one of the scout camping fields with all courses then entering the trees.  The main course will head across the Ivy Bridge, turning right then left up the fire road.  The course will then use sections of the established trails including the bomb hole, returning along the side of the river to re-cross Ivy Bridge.  The course then heads back up the gravel road towards the park entrance before turning back into the trees to return to the start/finish field.
