Upcoming off-road cycling events

This Sunday the fifth and final round of the 2015 Ulster Cross-county Mountain Bike Series takes place at Craigavon Watersports Centre. The week after is the National Marathon Championships which will be held at Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor.

Round 5 - Ulster XC series - Craigavon Watersports Centre

Event organisers from club Apollo have had their work cut out for them as the venue has seen some developments which have lead to sections of their regular course being made out-of-bounds. The new course will have a mixture of trail centre, grass, hills, tarmac and forest floor. Races for all age categories. Pre-registration closes on Friday 4 September at 8 pm. National Marathon Championships - Kilbroney, Rostrevor

The race will be based at the popular MTB trails at Rostrevor and will consist of a mixture of trail centre trails, natural forest singletrack and open mountain trails covering two laps of a figure of 8 course over a distance of 73km, with a total of 1,600m of climbing..

There will be a main race for all the Championship Categories consisting of the full race distance of 73km and this year Non-Championship riders can test their skills and endurance in the 'Champs Challenge MTB Sportive' over the full distance or a shorter 36km route! Get signed up now!
