Tour of Conemara 2015 Photo Gallery

aGo West Young Man - Go West
Go West seemed to be the cry last weekend as hordes of Ulster men and women headed for small town of Clifden in Conemara. All were there with a purpose - to complete the 140km Skoda Tour of Conemara.

This event has been growing in popularity  since its inagural run some four years ago and this year two thousand people lined up to do it. The organisers had turned on all the razzamatazz with music, finish/startline arches, street barbeques and loads of motorbike marshalls. The whole area around the Station Hotel was just a sea of cyclists.

There were big numbers from many of our clubs including Foyle CC, Castlereagh, Clogher Valley (who are everywhere nowadays), Strabane Lifford, Lakeland CC, Newry Wheelers, Phoenix  CC, Spires CC, AAA, Carn Wheeelers and North Pole CC to name but a few. It was also encouraging seeing so many women of all ages taking part in the ling route.  While the weather was not great everyone had a ball.

The following are just a few snaps taken at the start. I have not doctored them in anyway so apologies for any repeats. Feel free to tag yourself or download a pic. All Pics by Marian Lamb.[AFG_gallery id='139']
