What’s On This Weekend

Bann Valley Classic Sunday 12th April
On Sunday 12th April the Bann Valley Classic take place in Clady just outside Portglenone. This event was pre-entry and is now closed. There are two races on offer namely a race for A2/A3 riders and one for A4 riders. Races will take place over an eight mile circuit and all racing will start at 2.00pm sharp. The A race will cover six laps of the course while th eB race will cover five laps.
There will be the usual excellent refreshments after the event.

Ulster Off Road Series Round 2 – Colebrook Estate Sunday 12th April
This round is promoted by Caldwell Cycles.
Course Description:
The course will be similar to the one used by Lakeland CC at the start of the year. Colebrooke Estate in Brookborough County Fermanagh is the home of the Brookborough family and is a vast 1000 acre site which includes a spa, gym and accommodation where visitors can do 4x4 driving, fishing, deer stalking, clay pigeon shooting, archery and now mountain bike racing!!

Riders are asked to follow instruction from the marshals.

Joe Piggott Charity Cycle Sunday 12th April
On Sunday Roe Valley will promote the Joe Piggott Cycle with money raised going to cancer care and youth cycling develpment as thiswas one of Joe’s interests.

Sign on from 09.00 at Scroggy Road Playing Fields. Event departing 10.00
40km and 70km routes also available
Entry fee CI members £10.00
Non CI members £12.00

40km route is to Downhill and back, with beginners in mind. Proportion of the entry fee will go to a local charity to be decided very soon, charity supporters like this option to be involved.

The 70km route is an unofficial option used by some which cuts back from the feeding station in Dungiven, cutting out Claudy and the climb at Loughermore.

Sign on will be on the day.

North East Coastal Challenge Sunday 12th April
This leisure event is promoted by Carrickmacross CC. Please see poster below for details.

Sign-on at the Phoenix Centre in Carrickmacross at 9.00am with the event due to start at 10.00.
