Youth Track Racing Centre Stage

Cycling Ulster has this week announced its selection for September`s Sainsbury`s UK School Games which will take place in Manchester. The multi-sport Games will take place over the weekend 5-7 September and this year will include Track Cycling which will be hosted at the world famous Manchester Velodrome, also referred to as the `medal factory`.

Ulster`s selection will comprise -
Marc Heaney (Carn Wheelers),
Conor McLoughlin (Newry Wheelers),
Xeno Young (Dromore CC),
Harvey Barnes (East Tyrone)
with Rhys McKendry (Team Madigan) as the non-travelling reserve.

The Girl`s squad is
Shenna McKiverigan (Banbridge CC),
Ciara Doogan (Errigal CC) and
Molly McLarnon (North Down CC)
with Katie Armstrong as the non-travelling reserve.

The team will be managed by Nicola McKiverigan and coached by Gary McKeegan.

Before that, these and other Ulster youth Track riders will be in this weekends National Youth Track Championships which take place in Dublin on Saturday.
Titles and medals are up for grabs in both the Boys and Girls age-groups, with Sprint, Time Trial and Scratch events included.
