250 Leaders Cut From Vetted Database

Over 250 cycle leaders and coaches vetted through AccessNI by Cycling Ulster were removed from the list of vetted leaders as their certificates have long since expired. Those in question were anyone who had a certificate dated May 2011 or earlier. It is is important to keep your Access Check up to date as it is illegal to work with young people without a valid certificate. Clubs please note that if you allow people to work with young people in your club who do not have valid certification theĀ  club can also be heavily fined. It is also very poor practice so please check your leaders' qualification. The full list of access Checked Leaders can be found at - Access Checked Leaders

Cycling Ulster's Designated Officers will continue to remove leaders every six months if they have not renewed their certificates. To keep up to date simply open the application form and fill it in online. Then print it off and sign it and send it to Patrick McAleavey.
