Attention – Cycling Ireland Require Coaches for New Programme

bikeCycling Ireland Seeks Bike for Life Leaders
Cycling Ireland is presently in the early stages of launching a Brand New Programme called Bike for Life, sponsored by the HSE and ISC Women in Sport.  We are seeking qualified coaches (minimum foundation coach) with an interest in engaging and running the programme to attend this New course.

The course is a one day course with both theory and practical based elements.  However, greater emphasis will be placed on the practical aspect of this course and will include some bike riding.  Places are strictly limited to 12 and I would therefore request that you apply early to secure your place.

What is Bike for Life?

This programme has been designed to assist riders who want to develop knowledge, skill and fitness by providing a flexible programme that can easily be tailored to your riders needs by a qualified Bike for Life Leader.

  • Bike for Life is a led ride programme offered at three levels and consisting of 10-12 weekly sessions.  Each week will offer some skill or knowledge development with there being an emphasis on actual riding. The aim is to improve the confidence and competence of riders primarily in a road environment, although it can be delivered in other settings.
  • Bike for Life aims to create a community of cyclists, with a focus on the social side of the sport.
