Parton Best of Women in Rd 2 Slane Cycles League

slaneNine women lined up last night for Round 2 of the Slane Cycles' Women's Time Trial league. The event was promoted by Phoenix CC.

Keri Parton of Dromara CC took maximum points with a time of 25.28 for the tough Templepatrick course.

There were new faces giving it a go and it shows how Women's cycling is beginning to grow and develop in this country. The evening also saw the return of some familiar faces to the TT scene, including Mary Hunter and Kay Hack. This combination of seasoned testers and enthusiastic newcomers should make for a good competitive season of time trialling.
