Youth Academy Teams Selected for Kanturk 2 Day

CUYAlogo1 (200x73)The newly formed Cycling Ulster Youth Academy has selected two teams to represent an Ulster Development Squad in the O'Leary Stone Kanturk Two Day Stage Race.These first two teams are part of the recognition of developing talent coming to the fore in Cycling Ulster Youth Racing.

The Youth attendance at recent Youth events in Ulster has been tremendous and was again evidenced by the number of riders who participated in yesterday's Mid Ulster GP at Cookstown.

The Ulster Youth Academy is supported by Cycling Ulster which, through allocation of funds to the Youth Academy, will fund entry fees, meals, accommodation and travel for the event.

The Dave McCall Foundation will also be helping to support  future events as they presented a cheque for £500 to the Academy yesterday. Alomg with the budget allocated to the Academy by Cycling Ulster this generous sponsorship will assist the Academy in supporting youth riders in national events.


These are the CUYA riders to represent the Development Squad at the O'Leary Stone Kanturk 3 Day - Sat 3rd and Sun 4th May 2014......

The Teams are.....
U16 - Team
Harvey Barnes - East Tyrone CC.
Ethan Fleville - Clann Eireann CC.
Conor Mc Cann - Dig Deep.
Mark Heaney - Carn Wheelers.

U14 - Team
Adam Ward - Omagh Wheelers.
Conor Halvey - Errigal CC.
Aaron Heaney - Clann Eireann CC
Harry Dow - North Down

These two teams are chosen for further development and any boys or girls who are not picked this time will be listed for the further Academy team selection

All youth attending must have a parental permission form completed Cycling Ulster Slane Cycles Team Jerseys will be provided for them to wear.
