Ulster Track Championships

XMTB duo Jonathan Beers and William Boyd along with Clann Eireann’s Thomas Martin were the stars at the Ulster Track Championships promoted by Cycling Ulster at the Tommy Givan Track, Orangefield today.
Young Boyd lifted Gold medals in the Under 12 1 lap TT and Pursuit , Beers achieved a similar feat in the Under 14 category while Martin did likewise in the Under 16 events.
Michael Murray (Clann Eirean) dominated the Junior category and managed to beat senior star Gareth Rogers (Banbridge) in the 1 lap TT with a wining time of 33.06. seconds. Rogers made amends in the Individual Pursuit lifting the title despite breaking his seatpost with 2 laps remaining.

Novice riders Steven Haddock, Asley Wright and Curtis Moore all showed well in an excellent promotion organised by Brian Nugent, Oliver Hunter and Annette Nugent.
