Charity Cycle for PIPS…8 September
The fourth annual charity cycle in aid of PIPS, the suicide charity is set for Sunday 8 September next. Over the last three years, hundreds of people, many of them not regular cyclists have taken part, and have raised close to ten thousand pounds for the charity. Every pound donated goes to PIPS.
Two routes have been planned, both starting from Clann Eireann Youth Club in Lurgan. The long one takes the cyclists to the Crumlin and Glenavy area, while the shorter run more favoured by family groups and the not so regular riders is around Aghalee and Gawleys Gate. Refreshments for all will be provided at Clann Eireann on completion of the cycle, thanks to support from the Golden Crust Bakery and the Classic Mineral Water Company.
Registration will be at the Youth Club from 9.30 am, with the first group going of just after 10.00. Intending participants are asked to seek sponsorship themselves, and the organising club are asking for at least £15 from each, but nobody will be turned away.
