Tandem Sportive for all Abilities this Saturday

DMcCNorthern Ireland's unique tandem only sportive is taking place on Saturday 8 June supported by Maryland Wheelers. This year the Maze Long Kesh site (94b Halftown Road,Lisburn, BT27 5RF) will be the base as it has perfect facilities, an enclosed 2 mile circuit and access to a safe 10 mile route for those who want to go out on the open road.

Registration begins at 10am and the 10 mile participants will set off at 10.30am.  Those who want to stick to the 2 mile route will start at 11am.

The tandem sportive is free to enter, and lunch will be provided, but pre-registration is essential.  Please email lisburninfocus@rnib.org.uk or telephone 028 9260 0388 to register.  Any donations that participants give on the day will be divided between Outlook Social Group and the David McCall Foundation.

If you or anyone you know would like to attend but you do not have access to a tandem, pilot or helmet, then please do not let this put you off.  We can supply all of these.

If you belong to a Tandem Group which would like to take part then please get in touch and let us know how many stokers and pilots will be there and if you need any additional bikes.  There are storage facilities available for bikes prior to the 8 June if they need to be moved in advance.

Please tell friends and colleagues about this event and encourage people to take part.

If you can assist on the day with guiding or marshalling we would be very grateful.  Please get in touch with Claire - t:   028 9260 0388 e:  claire.patience@rnib.org.uk
