Clann Eireann’s Murray Selected for Youth Olympics

Young Michael Murray from Lurgan returned home last Monday(5 May) with the great satisfasction of knowing that he had just beaten many of his contemporaries in the Corkman Three Day race,and as a bonus, been given to understand that his performance was good enough to earn a place on Irelands team for the Youth Olympice later this year.
In the Cork event, Michael placed 6th and 3rd in the opening stages,and won the final road race outright.The general classification produced at the end of the series put him in third place overall.
Elsewhere,Thomas Martin took his fourth win of the season at Ballymena last Saturday,in the under 14 race there.
Both lads race with the progressive Clann Eireann Cycling Club.
