John Beggs Open for Pre-Entry

Pre-entry to the 2016 John Beggs Memorial promoted by Banbridge CC on Saturday 13th August is now open for entry. Two races will be promoted in Dromore, Co. Down, as part of the event. The main race for the day catering for A+, A1, A2 & A3 category riders is the penultimate round of the National Road Series and is expected to attract a very competitive field, but with a generous prize fund for unplaced category riders there will always be something for everyone to

National Criterium Championships Now Open For Entry

The 2016 Irish National CriteriumChampionships, promoted by Banbridge Cycling Club, will take place in Banbridge town centre on the evening of Friday 12th August. Registration and entry is now open via the Cycling Ireland event registration page on www.cyclingireland.ie

The Championship race will commence at 19:45 sharp, lasting approx. 1 hr, over a 1km circuit with intermediate prime laps.  The circuit will be that which has been successfully used in previous years for the Banbridge Criterium, starting and finishing in the town centre on Newry St. … Read more

Important TT’s Coming Up Including Ulster 10 Championship

With the Ulster 10 mile Time Trial Championship taking place at the end of the month testers will be targeting similar time trials to get into shape and there is plenty to chose from. Finn Wheelers are running a 10 on Monday night, La Lanterne Rouge on Tuesday night, The Ernie Magwood 10 on Sunday and TVR Series on Wednesday 27th with Ulster Champs on 31st. Foyle CC Retains North West Inter Club League Title

Thursday night's final stage in the Inter Club League lived up to its pre-race billing, with Foyle Cycling Club retaining the Inter League title. Fending off a strong challenge from Donegal clubs Errigal Cycling Club and Four Masters Cycling Club, Foyle's racing team delivered a fantastic performance, with strong individual riders from Gavin O Neill, John Quigley, Thomas McLaughlin, Paul Bradley, Mark McKinney and Fergal Mc Geady. Club chairman Simon Gill, who was also placed in the points, said it was a great evening for the club: 'great credit goes to all the riders who have participated over the last number of months to ensure that Foyle retained this title.… Read more

Foyle GP Open for Entry- Note Date Change

Upwards of 100 riders will compete in the next stage of the Ulster Roadman Series, when Foyle Cycling Club hosts a Grand Prix on 17th July. With 2015 race winner David Watson of North Down Cycling Club due to defend his title, Foyle Cycling Club is confident that this year’s race will be one of the most competitive in recent years.

Although the Roadman series had been absent from the Ulster cycling calendar for the last few years, it made its return in March with the Tour of Ards.… Read more

There are a number of leisure events around Ulster this coming weekend. These include the making a Difference Worldwide Annual Charity Cycle, the Wheelin' in the Years Cycle promoted by Sheelin Fliers, the Sligo to Letterkenny Cycle and the Ladies Only Purple Pedal promoted by Killinchy CC. Feast of Crits and TT’s During the Week

From hard paced, technically skillful criteriums to man against the clock, those who enjoy this sort of racing have a glut of it this week. There are three crits on with Old Bleach promoting the Antrim crit on Tuesday, Ards CC running Town Centre races on Wednesday and the Bann Wheelers promotion of the Coleraine crit on Thursday. Please Note : Phoenix CC's  Crit in the Part on Friday night is cancelled. For the testers the TVR TT Series continues on Wednesday evening while the Ernie Magwood Series takes place on Thursday and on Sunday Ballymoney run their Father's Day 25 mile TT. … Read more

Noel Teggart Opens for Pre-entry Tomorrow – Thursday 9th June

The pre-registration for the 2016 edition of the Noel Teggart Memorial hosted by Banbridge CC on Sunday 19th June will open for entries at 9pm on Thursday 9th June. A link to the pre-registration system will be available on www.banbridgecc.co.uk Banbridge CC will be promoting three senior races on the day as well as the full complement of youth races.

The main event for the day will be for A1/A2 riders which will cover 7 laps of the 12 mile circuit for a total distance of approx.

Audi GP Now Open for Entry

East Antrim CC Audi will promote the Audi Grand Prix on Saturday 18th June 2016. The event is for A1, A2 & A3 riders with the field limited to 60 riders in total so this is sure to sell out quickly.

The race covers 100kms on the Ballynure circuit with the Race HQ and Sign-On in the Straid Orange Hall, Straid, County Antrim, BT39 9NG. Sign on is 9.30am to 10:30am with the race starting at 11:00am.
