Roisin Kennedy riding for the Irish National Team will wear the yellow jersey when the ‘Danny Boy’ International stage race rolls out of Limavady tomorrrow for the final road stage. The 26-year-old Dubliner won today's opening stage in dramatic fashion breaking away from the large field and soloing home 58 seconds ahead of the bunch.

Ulster Road Race Championship 19/06/04
Conor Murphy (Crannog Ireland) won the Ulster Senior Road Race Championship today when he outsprinted Gary Crory (Total Cycling – Litespeed) after 50 miles of racing on the roling circuit at Hamiltonsbawn. Mary Boyd lifted the gold medal in the Women’s Championship when she out sprinted local favourite Freida Brown (Orchard Wheelers) with Ann McFarlnd (Omagh Wheelers) taking the bronze position. The event promoted by Orchard Wheelers attracted over 60 entries.

Audi Grand Prix 12/06/04

Roger Aiken (Banbridge CC) won the Audi Grand Prix for the second year running when he outsprinted his five breakaway companions in the East Antrim CC annual promotion on Saturday. The event attracted 66 entries but a crash on the first lap ensured an early split in the bunch and the blistering pace on the tough, rolling circuit at Ballynure saw less than 25 finishers in the 100 kilometre event.
The initial break included Aiken, East Antrim trio Ben Morrow, Willie Hamilton and Jim McConnell, Denis Easton (Maryland), Richard Aladheff (Orchard Wheelers) and Aaron Deane (Total Cycling).… Read more
