Ulster 10 m TT Championships This Sunday
Marcus Christie, who smashed his Irish National 50 mile TT record (subject to ratification) onWednesday night, will compete in the Ulster 10m Time Trial Championship which is being hosted by Foyle Cycling Club on Sunday. Upwards of 100 top amateur cyclists will descend on the County Derry village of Eglinton to participate in the Championship. The first rider is scheduled to start at 11.30am.
After successfully hosting their Grand Prix on 17 July in Killea, where almost 175 riders took part across all disciplines, Foyle Cycling Club now host the 2016 Ulster 10 Mile Time Trial Championships on Sunday 31 July, in Eglinton, County Derry.… Read more

Round 4 of the 2016 Hayes Fuels Ernie Magwood Super 6 league takes place at Woodgreen on Saturday 16th July. Sign on is from 9:00am with first rider off at 10:00am. PLEASE NOTE: Due to holidays and available help there will be NO entry on the day. You must use Race Pass to pre-enter. Entry closes tomorrow 15th July at 2.00pm. Once its closed, it’s closed. National Championships Event Information
The 2016 National Road Race Championships will take place in Kilcullen from the 23-26 June promoted by Orwell Wheelers. This year's Championship has not had a smooth passage this year with the venue being changed several times. However Orwell persevered and now have courses which they feel are worthy of a championship. The new courses in Kildare will provide a perfect location for top class racing across the Elite Women, Elite Men, U23 Men, M40, M50 and M60 categories. The Road Races will take place in Kilcullen over 25-26 June, with the Time Trial course running from Kilcullen to Athy and back on Thursday 23rd June 2016.… Read more
Fast Racing At Bishopscourt
There was lots of exciting racing on Saturday at Bishopscourt Motor Racing Circuit but this time the roar of supped up engines was exchanged for the whirr of pedal powered vehicles. The event was the annual Emma McMullan and Ronnie Smyth road races promoted by Dromara CC. For a number of years now Dromara have promoted these races on the safe off road circuit of Bishopscourt. With its smooth, well tarmaced surface and clear view of the racing it made for a fast laps and a great spectator sport.… Read more
02/06/2016 Cathcart Centra Spires TT Trilogy Round 2
The second round of the Cathcart Centra Spires TT Trilogy took place this evening. Tonight's event was sponsored by McCullough Estate Agents in Magherafelt.
Once again Craig McAuley of Caldwell Cycles took a fantastic win on the Toome course recording a 20.49 for the ten miles. He was followed in by Ali Gribbon of Carn Wheelers who recorded a 21.24. Concor McCann of Team Asea was third with a 21.42.
Eileen Burns continued her winning streak by recording a 23.06 to top the women's results. Once again Karen Hull had to satidfied with second recording 24.41 while Joanne Regan of Termoneeny CC was third with 25.14.… Read more

The Cathcart Centra Spires CC Trilogy kicked off this evening with the ten mile time trial on the Toome circuit. Craig McAuley of Caldwell Cycles was fastest on the night recording a 20.33 followed in by Craig Rea of Phoenix at 21.16. Ali Gribbon of Carn Wheelers who has been riding strongly all year took a well deserved third place with his 21.28.
Fastest of the women on the night was Eileen Burns oF Ballymena CRC who recorded a 22.40. Phoenix CC's Karn Hull was next with a 24.59 followed by Joanne Regan of Termoneeny CC who did the course in a time of 25.09.… Read more

Madden and Burns Top the Leader Board in Jimmy Devlin 10
John Madden of Inspired Cycling notched up yet another time trial victory when he won the Jimmy Devlin Memorial 10 mile time trial tonight at Woodgreen. The event, promoted by Phoenix CC, saw almost seventy riders turn out on what proved to be a calm but cool evening. John took the victory with a 20:30, just one second faster than second placed rider Neil Clarke of Team Asea. Paul Carroll of Velo Café Magasin was third a further six seconds behind while Christian Natchtigall of Phoenix was fourth with a 20:41.… Read more
Ernie Magwood Super 6 TT Information and Pre-Entry
The Hayes Fuels 2016 Ernie Magwood Super 6 league is due to kick off on Saturday 9th April and will follow a similar pattern to previous years namely 6 rounds, 2 at Toome and 4 at Woodgreen, with 5 out of 6 rounds counting. There will be a preentry system in operation. The Women's Cycling Ulster TT league and the Ulster Paracycling Leagues will will incorporate all rounds of the Super Six guaranteeing top level competition and big fields for all riders.
Pre-entry will be via racepass.co.uk this year and this will require a PayPal account, so to assist everyone pre entry will open one week in advance.
Mullen Takes Two National Titles in TT Championships
Omagh Wheelers Cycling club kicked off the National Championships with a super time trial tonight on the rolling roads around Omagh.
Ryan Mullen (An Post Chain Reaction) repeated his win of last year in the Elite and Under 23 category with a time of 47 minutes 46 seconds for the 23 mile loop.
The silver medal went to Cork teenager Eddie Dunbar (48:11) who now riders for the UK based Pro team NFTO.
Ulster man Martyn Irvine (Madison Genises) was third fastest with a time of 48 minutes 57 seconds.… Read more
More Medal Success For Irish Paracyclists
Colin Lynch and Eoghan Clifford have won time trial gold on another day of medal winning success for the Ireland squad at the UCI Paracycling Road World Cup in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland today.
Double world championship winner Lynch made it back-to-back successes in world cup time trials with victory in the MC2 time trial following his success at the first round of the series in Maniago, Italy last week.
In a dominant performance on a mainly flat 14.15km course that suited strong riders, Lynch had 63.72 seconds in hand over Arslan Gilmutdinov of Russia with Israel Hilario Rimas of Peru a further ten seconds in arrears.… Read more
