Top class Ulster downhill juniors
Hitting the big time both at home and abroad are two Ulster junior downhillers: Sacha Bickerstaff and Jacob Dickson. Both are currently at Mont-Sainte-Anne in Canada at the DHI Round 5. Ulster riders occupied the majority of the podiums at this year's cross-country and downhill national championships. Lots of Enduro, Cross-country and Downhill going on and coming up
The off-road scene has been busy over the last couple of weeks with Round 2 of the Vitus First Tracks series taking place in Bigwood, Warrenpoint on 9/10 May and then the Ulster riders heading over to Wales to compete in the third round of the British XC series. This weekend the Emerald Enduro is taking place in Carrick County Wicklow. This is the second round of the Enduro World Series with a huge gathering of international riders and local riders competing across seven timed stages.… Read more

Downhill, XC and BMX Events this Weekend.
This Sunday 9th March the first round of the National BMX Series takes place at DCBMX track in Unit 64, Cherry Orchard Industrial Estate, Ballyfermot Road, Dublin.
The 2014 Irish BMX National Series will be run over 6 rounds with each riders best 5 results counting towards their final ranking.
Age Group Guidelines:
The age a rider turns in 2014 is the age group they race i.e. if you are 12 now but turn 13 on or before the 31st December 2014 you race in the 13-14 year old category.… Read more
Off-road racing at Kilbroney this weekend
Kilbroney Park will again be a hive of activity this weekend, 9th March, for the Rostrevor Mountain Bike Festival. Dromara CC and ChainReaction Cycle Club have joined together for the second year of this festival. Dromara CC is hosting Round 1 of the 2014 Ulster XC series (cross-country race - XC) and CRC is hosting Round 1 of the IDMS series (downhill - DH). … Read more
WANTED: Off Road Commissaires
The College of Commissaires is seeking expressions of interest for off-road commissaires from Ulster. Interested candidates must have been a member of Cycling Ireland for at least 3 years and have a keen interest in off-road cycling (cross-country or downhill). It is expected that a one-day training session will be taking place in the near future most likely on a weekend day. This appeal is being spread across Ireland and the final date and venue for the training has not been set.

Ben Reid to Compete in UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2013, Fort William
With Scotland gearing up to host the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, which returns to the Scottish Highlands on 8 – 9 June 2013, bike enthusiasts from across Ulster are expected to travel by ferry to watch the action.
County Down champion Ben Reid is among a number of local competitors taking part in the Fort William event , which attracts over 20,000 spectators.
