Angus Fyffe Triumphs at Wallace Caldwell
The Wallace Caldwell promoted by Ballymena is one of those one day classics that all riders want to win. With a hard course and aggressive riding it is always an exciting event. Omagh Wheelers rider, Angus Fyffe was the victor this year followed in by Darnell Moore of Caldwell Cycles. Newry's Jude Sands continued his strong start to the season by filling the final podium position.

St Patrck’s Day Race Details
On Friday North Pole CC will promote their annual St Patrck's Day Race. Starting at St.Mary’s Hall Burt the race will proceed in the direction of Letterkenny for 17km.
This is a wide, well surfaced road with a generous hard shoulder and no dangerous junctions. Care should be taken at Callaghan’s Filling Station (1km) and at Kernan’s Filling Station (6km) which have a number of entrances onto the main road.
There are drags for this portion of the race and there may be attacks before Manorcunningham but the race should hold together.… Read more

Powerhouse Take Top Four Spots in Danny Boy Race
The Powerhouse Juniors of Liam Wilson, PJ Doogan, Adam Ward and Brendan Flanagan swept the boards at the A3 Danny Boy Race at Feeny yesterday. The sixty mile course had plenty of short sharp rises with a couple of long drags to test the legs. The Powerhouse were in action all day and were determined not to let anyone get away.
By the second lap a group had gone clear with 20 seconds on the chasers. Flanagan chased to bridge the gap and when his team-mates joined him in the next lap the quartet forged ahead gaining two minutes on the bunch.… Read more
Carn Wheelers Classic Sunday 19th March
Carn Wheelers Classic Road Race. Sunday March 19th 2017 at 1pm. Sign on opens at 11.00am in Maghera Leisure Centre on the Coleraine Road, sign on will close at 12.30pm. Each race will follow a number of laps as below and will be all left turns, until the last lap where each race will turn right for the final short drag into the finish in Maghera.
The A1/2, A3 & A4 races require online entry but the Masters (over 50s) & Women's race can be entered on the day (race fee £15.00).… Read more
Fyffe Makes it Two in a Row at Seskinore
The sun was shining in Omagh today for the McCann Cup races kindly sponsored by Ballymore Civils. 267 riders turned out for a day of racing covering Laps of the Seskinore circuit.
First off were the masters with close on 40 riders fighting for top 3 places and covering 3 laps. Mickey Gallen - OWCC- set the pace early on and this was maintained for the duration! In the end Michael Tolan of Phoeix took the win from Orchard CC James McCusker who was followed in by Tom Henry of North Down CC.… Read more
Fyffe Wins The John Moore Memorial Race
Castlereagh CC ran two main races today, a handicap event for A1-A3 and an A4 race as well as four lap race for women. The race ran smoothly without incident. Thanks to Commissaires mark Lamb, and Jean McGinley and to all the trainee commisssaires who turned up.

McCann Cup This Sunday
This Sunday, 5th March a feast of racing awaits the large field of riders who have already signed up for the Omagh Wheelers flagship event, the McCann Cup. This year the renowned day of racing is generously sponsored by Ballymore Services Ltd, with a prize fund of over £1000 across the 5 races
being held.
All races will take place over the traditional 10 mile Seskinore circuit and the action kicks off with the Masters event at 11.00am, followed by the Women's event at 11.05am, both events being part of their respective Ulster leagues.… Read more
John Haldane Memorial Race this Sunday 26thFebruary
Newry Wheelers Cycling club will host the ever popular John Haldane Memorial Race on Sunday 26thFebruary. Newry Wheelers are renowned throughout Ireland as being one of the top cycling clubs in promoting races and this event has filled up very quickly due to its popularity.
The race will take place on the Warrenpoint to Newry dual carriageway. The flat course will ensure there will be no hiding places and little recovery for those racing.
There is racing for all categories which is kindly sponsored by Haldane Fisher who will sponsor the A1/2 race the A3 race and A4 race with local building contractor Mc Kinley Contracts sponsoring the Ladies/Masters event.… Read more
Gary McKeegan Announced as Manager for Youth Commonwealth Games
After a interview process which took place on Friday the Interview Panel are pleased to announce that Gary McKeegan of Team Madigan has been selected as the coach/manager for the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games. The Games take place between 17 – 23rd July 2017 in the Bahamas.
