Sunday 9th October MACS Revolution Cycle - Moy
Square Wheels Cycling Club in Moy County Tyrone are joining up with MACS Supporting Children and Young People to promote the MACS Revolution Cycle in Loughgall on October 9th 2016. All proceeds will help 11 to 25 year olds who are homeless, facing homelessness or have issues with mental health.
The cycle will start and finish at Loughgall Country Park with registration taking place from 8:30 AM and the first riders heading off at 9:30. There are two routes on offer which will take in the roads of Armagh, Monaghan and Tyrone with a tea stop at the scenic village of Caledon.… Read more

Sportives and Charity Rides this Weekend
There is a feast of leisure events on this weekend so there is no excuse not to get out and ride your bike. The Ballycastle Sportive takes place on Saturday. On Sunday riders have a choice with the Omagh Wheelers hilly sportive, The Western Hills Challenge, Emyvale's Bike the Blackwater. The Paul McKibbon Ride by La Lanterne Rouge, Carrigans Cycle promoted by Four Masters and BCC Camlough's Hooley Round Cooley. Full details of all events are posted below.

100 In 10/8 All Set to Go on 16th October
On Sunday 16th October Square Wheels will promote their 100 in 10 or 8 event. This will be the third year that this event has taken place as it proved to be very popular last year. This is not a race! It is not a time trial!

Hen Party Leads the Way as Women Only Sportive Pedals to Success
Almost 120 riders took part in today's second Women's Only Sportive in Derry city, jointly organised by Foyle Cycling Club and the Foyle Hospice. Clubs from all across Ulster were represented, while the women of Derry turned out in large numbers to ride in both the 20-mile and 50-mile routes. The sportive also attracted a hen party from Causeway Cycling Club, adding a novel twist to their weekend away!… Read more

Ards Sportive This Sunday
Ards Cycling Club's Tour of Strangford Charity Sportive takes place this Sunday. There's a choice of two routes - 50 or 80 miles. You can pre-enter this event up until tonight at 7pm. Enter via www.entrycentral.com. On the day the entry fee will be £20.

Women Only Cycling Sportive Launched in Derry
The annual Ladies' Only Cycling Sportive, hosted jointly by the Foyle Hospice and Foyle Cycling Club, was launched this week. The sportive will be held on Sunday 11 September, with the start and finish at the Foyle Hospice on Derry's Culmore Road.
Now in its second year, the sportive plans to become an established event in the north west sports calendar, drawing people from all across the north of Ireland. In 2015, riders travelled from Antrim, Belfast, Inishowen, Limavady, Monaghan, Omagh, Randlestown and Sligo, raising almost £1500 that went towards the Hospice's badly-needed services.… Read more
Hundreds Participate in Inishowen 100 Sportive
Foyle Cycling Club's annual Inishowen 100 sportive took place Sunday 21 August with over 350 riders from all over Ireland participating. Riders from Antrim, Armagh, Ballina, Ballyclare, Belfast, Bray, Dublin, Fermanagh, Lisburn, Naas, Omagh, Swords and Westport were part of an early start from Derry's Sports Complex, before completing the circuit around Inishowen.
With the rain holding off until late afternoon when most riders had completed the route, many riders commented on the majestic scenery along the route between Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle, with the epic climbs of Mamore Gap and Kinnego Bay overlooking the North Sea sandwiched in between.… Read more

This weekend sees a number of important leisure events being promoted. On Saturday Ballymena CRC will promote the Billy Kerr Sportive while on Sunday Foyle CC offer riders the challenge of the Inishowen 100.
