Report From Tir Chonaill Gap’s Harvest Tour
The weather was on our side last Sunday as we set out on the annual Harvest Fair Cycle. With 120 cyclists taking part on the 3 routes it was a great turn out and brilliant to see so many younger riders out on the road.
A few special mentions have to go to some of our own members, James Eddie who completed the 30k in great form after only taking up cycling a short time ago. Also Clodagh Duggan was flying on the 30k and was one of the first ladies back in!… Read more

Clones CC 100km Cycle Challenge and 40km Cycle - 8 September 2012
Clones CC host a 100km and 40km leisure cycle on Sauturday. Sign on is at St. Tiernach's GAA Grounds Clones from 9:00 to 10:00. Start for the 100km at 10:15 and the 40km at 10:30. For more details contact clonescc@gmail.com

Dalriada Kingdom Cycle Challenge - 8th September
The cycle is made up of 2 routes - a 40km rural route and a 75km coastal route. The routes will include the Dark Hedges, The Park, Whitepark Bay, Giants Causeway, Portballintrae and Dunluce Castle to name but a few of the sites being passed.… Read more
Minnie Clarke Tour & Harvest Fair Cycle This Weekend
Minnie Clarke Memorial Tour - Sunday 2nd September
90km route of lovely south Armagh. Starting at 10.00am, sign-on at Crossmaglen GFC from 9.15am. (25km from Newry on B30 via Camlough and Silverbridge 25km from Dundalk on A29 and B30 via Silverbridge) Registration fee: £15/€15, Tandems £20/€20. There will be tea & sandwiches in Millennium Hall, Mountnorris (half way) and Soup & sandwiches in Crossmaglen GAA Club at the finish. Showers/changing facilities provided. This is a fundraising cycle, to support people with sight impairment, in memory of Minnie Clarke who was blind from birth and lived in Crossmaglen for most of her 85 years, thank you for your support. … Read more
John Lindsay Memorial, Torr Head Challenge Entry Details
On Sunday 23rd September Team Madigan promote their ever popular Torr Head Challenge. Starting at 10.30am from Ballygalley on the Antrim Coast. Cycle one of the most dramatic routes in the world. Open sea views to one side and rugged cliffs on the other. This is an approved Cycling Ireland event promoted by one of Ulster's long standing clubs. At a cost of £15 per adult and £5 for those under 18 this is really good value. Sperrin Challenge This Weekend
This year, the Sperrin Challenge is celebrating its' 21st anniversary and I would like to extend an invitation to all cyclists to come along and enjoy this event. The Sperrin Challenge is based right in the heart of Ulster and is within easy reach for every cycling club in Ulster. The Sperrins are the largest and least explored mountain range in Northern Ireland with dramatic landscapes, rivers teaming with life, mountains, valleys, forests, lakes - a wonderful location for a cycling sportive.

The Freewheelers Lough Neagh Tour - Saturday 4th August
As already mentioned under the Leisure section of the message board the event starts at the Antrim Forum Peace Car Park @ 9:00-9:30am. Ivor Jess, the man behind this very worthwhile charity event was delighted with last years turn out. Hoping for similar numbers next Saturday, Ivor has organised extra volunteers to help speed up sign on. Entry fee is a minimum £10 donation, with every penny raised going to disability sport. Pre-entries open for the Mourne Sportive and Hilly Leisure Tours 5 Aug 2012
On Sunday 5 August 2012, Dromara Cycling Club will be hosting their annual Mourne Sportive and Hilly Leisure Tours. There will be again FOUR routes to chose from which should provide a challenge for all riders. The 'big' event on the day will be the infamous Mourne Sportive, described by some as the toughest one day tour in Ireland. This 169 km route will take riders into the heart of the Mourne Mountains climbing over 11,000 feet across many of its famous peaks including Coyle’s Hill, Spelga, Windy Gap and Dree Hill.… Read more

Team Madigan promote the Northern Ireland 25 mile Time Trial championship at Woodgreen (A26 South Ballymena) on Thursday 19th July. Northern Ireland medals are up for grabs in the following categories, Senior Men, Senior Women, Veteran Men, and Juniors. There will also be medals for the first team (Note: No age groups below Junior).
