Omagh Wheelers Valentines Run and Reliability Trial

image1(10)This Sunday, Omagh Wheelers CC promote their ever-popular Valentine's Run and Reliability. With two different events and four distances (30, 50, 60 & 75) there is something to cater for all cyclists including leisure and racing.

Sign on will begin at 8:45 am in Youth Sport, Cookstown Road, Omagh with events starting at 10:00. Our normal famous hospitality will ensure a large array of refreshments will be provided afterwards.

For everyone who signs on they will be entered into a prize draw for some prizes, including a Valentine's Hamper full of Treats; a Voucher for Hair & Makeup by the excellent "Del Loughran Hairdressing & Makeup" and a presentation case of Brandy!… Read more

Dunloy CC Inaugural Reliability Trial Sunday 5th February

dunloyDunloy Cycling Club are delighted to invite all holders of 2017 licences to take part in a Reliability Trial on Sunday 5th February. Sign-on will be available from 9:15 in the Dunloy GAC Clubrooms on the Bridge Road where sufficient car parking is available. Two routes have been approved: the first is a demanding 72 miles taking in a large part of the 2014 Giro D'Italia Stage 2, the second 55 mile route will avoid Ballypatrick Forest, Loughareema and Cushendall however will encounter Glenshesk instead. Both bunches will be accompanied by a pace car. Read more

VC Glendale ride for Charity Sat 18th February

vc1Following on from his successful 50th birthday charity ride last year well known photographer, Toby Watson's club VC Gendale decided it was their duty to continue the legacy that was created and keep the ride going. This will be a very easy leisurely ride for all abilities and riding as one big group on the day.  The Venue this year has moved to the recently refurbished luxurious Balmoral Hotel situated on Black's Road Belfast just off the slipway from the M1 Motorway. Camlough’s Spring 60 Now Open for Entry

cccThis year there is no entry on the day for Camlough's Spring 60. The Spring Sixty is Camlough CC's early season Sportive which takes place this year on Sunday 12th March, always widely anticipated as it is one of the first of the year. A real Classic! The event helps to raise funds for the club's chosen charity each year. This year Camlough CC will be supporting The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

In 2016 there were just short of 500 riders which was astounding and stretched the club to the limits. Read more

Ballymena RT This Sunday

1The annual Ballymena Road Club – Chain Reaction Cycles – Reliability Trials will be held on Sunday 22nd January it is expected that cyclists from all over Northern Ireland will assemble at Rex Bonar House , Railway St, Ballymena for the 10.00am start.
Registration for the event will commence at 9,00am with an entry fee of £10 being charged. The entrants will divided into two groups with a choice of two distances of 53 miles and 75 miles.

The A group will face a 75 miles ride, which will take in Antrim, Greystone, Templepatrick, The Longshot to Ballyrobert, then Mossley, Greenisland, Woodburn, Kilroot, Glynn, Larne and the pit stop at Ballygally.

The growing craze for cycling has seen a huge increase in people riding bikes for commuting and leisure but it is difficult to find cycling places which are safe and traffic free. Autumn Cycling Beginners’ Sessions Commence this Weekend

Foyle Cycling Club's autumn series of beginners' sessions for cyclists commences on Saturday 15 October. Meeting at the Sports Complex and running for consecutive weekends throughout October, the Club is hoping to encourage new people into cycling, as well as those riders back who may have been off their wheels due to injury.

Club PRO, Ronan Gallagher, said it was a great way to stay active through the autumn months: 'the social and physical benefits of cycling are wide ranging, and we all know that during these dark mornings, the exercise levels can quickly fall away.' Explaining the process he continued: 'Potential members can take part in 3 club runs before they need to join the club, primarily for insurance purposes.… Read more
