20:20 Cycle United Against Dementia

Following the success of the 20:20 Cycle in 2016 Alzheimer's Society has again teamed up with Omagh Wheelers CC to launch Dementia Awareness Week in Northern Ireland.  With a range of cycling options this promises to be a challenging and enjoyable day, with beautiful views of Tyrone and the famous OWCC hospitality.

This event takes place as follows:

Date - Sunday 13th May 2018

Where - Youth Sport Omagh

Time - 9.30am start

Magee Donegal Bay Spring Sportive Saturday 14th April 2018

The “Spring Sportive” will take place on Saturday April 14th this year and once again the World famous Magee of Donegal will be the title sponsor of the event. This event was the Winner of Cycling Ulster Sportive of the year 2017

Roe Valley Legends Tour 2018 Now Open for Pre-entry

20:20 Cycle – United We Cycle Against Dementia

After the very successful 20:20 Cycle in 2016 The Alzheimer’s Society launch the 20:20 United Against Dementia Cycle in Northern Ireland. The event takes place on Sunday 13th May 2018 which will see the Launch of "Dementia Action Week" and is being hosted by Omagh Wheelers CC

The key message is: "Take action and help improve the lives of people with dementia".

This year, Dementia Awareness Week is changing to Dementia Action Week (21 to 27 May). Raising awareness and offering support will always be important, but it’s time we all act to make change happen for people affected by dementia.… Read more

Stuart Ross Memorial Challenge

The annual Stuart Ross Memorial Challenge will take place on Saturday 30th December starting at 12.00 noon. The event is in aid of Mindspace and the Chest, Heart and Stroke association. Sigh-on takes place at Whitehead Fire Station and the cost of entry is £15. Refreshments are available at the Whitecliff Inn.

The cycle is relatively short at 30 miles but there are seven sharp climbs to test the legs. This could be an ideal way to shed some of the Christmas excesses and all for a good cause.… Read more

Tour of South Derry Now Open For Entry

The Tour of South Derry returns again this year on Sunday 8th October. The annual Carn Wheelers charity run, which has now raised over £65,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, starts from Rossa Park, Magherafelt and has 2 route options, 80km & 60km, catering for all abilities.

Sign on opens on the day at 08:30 with a grande depart at the earlier time this year of 09:30. Entry fee is £15.00 -  all money donated goes directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, with the local business sponsors absorbing the majority of the running costs for the event including the prized T-Shirt.

Father’s All Ireland Cycle Challenge

Father's All Ireland Cycle Challenge in Memory of Daughter Anna
A father is undertaking the mammoth challenge of cycling a circuit of Ireland in eight days in tribute to his daughter who passed away almost three years ago from a brain tumour.
Randal McAllister from Kilrea in Co. Derry along with good friends Paul Donnelly & Brian Calvert will cycle 1,200km passing through all 32 counties of Ireland in memory of Randal's daughter Anna, to raise funds for two charities, Cancer Fund for Children and the Children's Cancer Unit Charity.… Read more

Kilbride CC Thank Riders

On Saturday 24th June 153 cyclists gathered at Kilbride Presbyterian Church to take part in the Kilbride Cyclists Charity Challenge. Weather looking good and everyone topped up with a good spread laid on at the start, they headed off through some of County Antrim's most scenic roads. Yet more food laid on at the stop in Glenarm to get everyone over the hills back to Kilbride.
A well earned burger and cup of tea at Kilbride finished off a great day's cycling.
Kilbride Cyclists would like to express thanks and gratitude to all who turned up to support them from club cyclists to individual cyclists.… Read more

TQCC Summer Solstice Sportive & BBQ June 23rd

Titanic Quarter Cycling Club will host its first-ever Sportive on June 23. A unique event for cyclists of all levels, it will take place on a Friday evening and will be followed by a BBQ and entertainment at the home of Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club on the Malone Road, Belfast. All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the UK Sepsis Trust.

Entry fee for the TQCC Summer Solstice Sportive and BBQ is just £20. The event starts at 5pm for sign-in and the 38-mile ride starts at 6pm.… Read more
