Martyn Irvine Official Flag Bearer at CWG
Top cyclist Martyn Irvine has been selected as the official flag bearer for Team Northern Ireland at Wednesday's opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games 2014.
Irvine (29) from Co. Down is a bronze medallist from the 2010 Commonwealth Games (Delhi) in the Team Pursuit and represented Ireland in the 2012 Olympics in London. 2013 was a phenomenal year for the United Healthcare Pro Cycling team member winning Gold in the UCI World Track Championships Scratch race.
Irvine had a tough year though following this as he broke his femur shortly after the World Championships.… Read more

The Sperrin MTB Sportive which was due to be held this Sunday (27 July) by Harps CC has been cancelled. Pre-entry closed on the 22nd but the target number of entries had not been reached. The club hope to run the event next year.… Read more

There will be a road race this Friday 25th July at 7p.m to contest the senior county cycling championship. Sign on will be from 6pm. The race start and sign on will be from Tommy Martin's fuel yard on the Ballybay road Monaghan and the race route will cover three laps over the Ballybay road turning for Tullycorbet, Ardaghy and a finish at Albert Berry Motors. Youth Racing at the Dervock Festival
This Saturday 19 July Ballymoney Cycling Club is hosting a series of youth races for Under 12, 14 and 16 year olds at the Dervock Festival. All the age groups will race on the 5 mile "Lion Park Circuit". The Under 16 Race is for the "Oliver Kane Perpetual Cup" and was won last year by Aaron Swan now with the Nicholas Roche Team and is currently at the 2014 Junior Tour of Ireland. Junior Tour of Ireland – starting list
The 2014 Junior Tour of Ireland starts today in Ennis County Clare and continues until the 20th of July. Cycling Ulster has a team of four riders entered (Ryan Reilly, Cathal Clarke, Ryan Orr and Darnell Moore) but there are other Ulster riders competing as part of other teams.
