Ernie Magwood – Super Six TT series Sunday 24th April
The first round of the Ernie Magwood Super Six will be held on Sunday 24th April at Woodgreen. Sign is is from 9 am and first rider will be set off at 10am. The series which has been running for the past two years was as a result of the hard work put in by Ernie Magwood who sadly died earlier this year. Handcycling – Try it Out Day Saturday
This Saturday the 23rd April, the hardworking group from the Ulster Handcycling Association, led by Darrell Erwin, will be promoting a 'Try it out Day' at the Antrim Forum. They will have different types of handcycles available for people to try out. Everyone of all ages is welcome to come along and give it a go. Dave Kane League Continues on Thursday Night
Spires CCwill host the Dave Kane TT League on the Toome circuit on Thursday 21st April. The Spires CC club TT will take place at the same time. Sign on sheets give an option for competing in the Dave Kane League (£5 entry, full comp licence) or the club TT (£3 entry, club comp licence). Sign on starts at 5:30pm at the park and share carpark on the Belfast side of Toome. For those competing in the Dave Kane League a full open competition licence or a Restricted licence is required unless you are a vet when a club competition licence s sufficient.… Read more
Bikeworks UWA TT League Begins Wednesday
The first round of the Bikeworks UWA TT league is on this Wednesday (20th) evening, in conjunction with Ballymena Road Club. Sign on at Grahams Kitchens on Woodgreen, A26, and first rider off at 7pm. Please ensure you have a working rear fitted light on your bike, it is part of the Ballymena Road Clubs TT rules, in conjunction with the PSNI, and failure to have a working light fitted will mean riders being refused to compete.

Stormont Gears Up For Tour Of The North
Northern Ireland’s top international cycling event, the P&O Ferries Tour of the North will take to the roads on the 22nd April for the 47th edition of the Northern Ireland Cycling Federation’s Easter classic stage race. Over 100 riders will battle it out for the coveted first leader's Yellow Jersey at 7pm on Good Friday evening over a 1km hill climb in the grounds of Stormont marking the first day of the Tour.
On Saturday riders will then embark on a clockwise loop of the province taking in counties Down, Antrim, Armagh, Tyrone, and Derry.… Read more
Big turn out at the Downpatrick Third World Charity Cycle
The biggest turn out to date at the Downpatrick Third World Charity Cycle Tour which took place on Sunday 17 April 2011 from the Downpatrick Cricket Club. The warm, spring like conditions helped to attract almost 170 riders for the main 60 mile route which went to Castlewellan, Bryansford, Newcastle, Dundrum and then onto Clough for the tea stop. Once refueled the riders headed for Tyrella, Killough, Ardglass and Strangford before returning to the cricket club were the hard working volunteers had put on a great spread of sandwiches and tray bakes.… Read more

The full start list of the Wallace Caldwell due to take place on Saturday 16th April (tomorrow) is now listed below. In total there are 81 starters so there are so the event is now full. The race rolls out onto the course at 10.45am with a stat time of 11.00 am. The event is also the first round of the Slane Cycles Ulster Classic League supported by Slane Cycles, Cycling Ulster and the NICF. Rás Dhun na nGall 2011 – Entries Now Open
The Four Masters Cycling Club, in conjunction with the Nesbitt Arms Hotel and the Ardara Traders, has just announced that the 2011 Rás Dhun na nGall three-day stage race will take place in Ardara, Co. Donegal on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June. Online entry and an accommodation list are now available on the club website, www.fourmasterscycling.com The fee is €50 per person, rising to €55 on 13th May. Bennett 12th and Ulster’s Sean Downey 36th in Nations Cup Race
Sam Bennett took an excellent 12th place in the La Côte Picarde in France yesterday, with Ulster's Sean Downey finishing 36th in the same time as Bennett and the race winner. Bennett's result means Ireland has gained vital Nations Cup ranking points which count towards qualification for the World Under 23 Road Race Championship.
Lurgan's Thomas Martin finished in a group 7 minutes and 21 seconds behind in 100th place.
This was the second race of the Irish Nations Cup campaign which began with the Under 23 Tour of Flanders on Saturday.… Read more
John Deere Classic Gallery 21/03/2010
Seán Lacey was the winner of the first round of the Irish National Classic League series when he lifted the John Deere Four Masters trophy in Donegal today. The Edge Sports Team rider was part of a six man breakaway which jumped early in the race and opened up a substantial gap on the climb at Muckish Mountain.
