Ryan and Rowan Become Champions In Omagh.
On Sunday Omagh wheelers continued their busy summer of events by promoting the Irish A3 and junior road race championships.
Both races were run off in competitive style around the challenging roads of Omagh with many Ulster riders putting on a good show on home soil.
In the A3 race it was John Rowan of Swords who took the win ahead of Tyrone man Ryan McDermott and Conor Hennebry of Carrick Wheelers.
In the junior race it was Finton Ryan of the Nicolas Roche Performance Team who took the honours from Stephen Shanahan of Limerick and Dylan O'Brien from Kanturk. … Read more
Errigal Host Ulster Youth Championships on Sunday
Following on from their very successful promotion of the International Youth Tour the hard working Donegal based, Errigal Cycling Club, will promote the Ulster Youth Championhips this coming Sunday. This is a must for all Youth and especially for those who hope to take part in the National Youth Championships promoted by Slaney CC on Saturday 24th.
This is a very important event on the Cycling Ulster Calendar and we would encourage as many Youth riders as possible to go along to the event. This should be an exciting day of championship racing for Ulster Youths.… Read more

This coming weekend Omgh Wheelers will promote the 2013 All-Ireland Vets/Junior Time Trial Championships and the A3/Junior Road Race Championships .
The race pack which contains rider lists, details of the routes to be used and other useful information has been released and can be downloaded below.

Next Sunday 11th August,the town of Rathmullan will come to life when the 3rd Annual Tour of Rathmullan Cycle Race takes place.Cycle racing is relatively new to the area and if history is anything to go by,that is due to change.Rathmullan does not do anything by halves.It always did things better! Billy Stewart Cup Sunday 11th August
The Billy Stewart Cup promoted by Apollo CT takes place this coming Sunday 11th August. This is always a very popular event in the Ulster calendar. There are two races on offer. One race for the A4's and an A race for A2 and A3 riders only.
Online entry for the 2013 Billy Stewart Cup went live on ENTRY CENTRAL @ 6PM Friday 19th July!
There is a £375 prize fund , split over the 2 races:
B race A4 catagory 56km (80 rider limit) (top 6 money prize)
A race A2 + A3 catagory 96km (80 rider limit) (top 6 money prize & first unplaced A3 + Junior riders)

The Cycling Ulster youth RR and TT training sessions will continue with another session this Sunday 11th Aug. This session is open to both male and female riders who race in the U16 or U14 age categories. There is no need for pre-entry, just come along on the day. The session will begin at 12:00 in the University of Ulster’s Jordanstown campus.
The session will begin with a skills session which will last for about an hour in which we will cover advanced cornering and sprinting, parents/guardians are asked to assist the coaches during the skills session. … Read more

Omagh Wheelers Cycling Club will promote the 2013 All-Ireland Vets/Junior Time Trial Championships and the A3/Junior Road Race Championships on the 17th & 18th August.
The event is pre-entry only and the entries will close this Saturday 10th Aug.

The Blair International Red Hand Trophy Open For Pre-Entry.
The Red Hand Trophy race, promoted by Ballymena Road Club and sponsored by the Blair International haulage company is one of the oldest and most scenic road races in Ulster and is a local classic.
