Ras Dhun na nGall 2017 Entry Information
The June bank holiday weekend is fast approaching and all the A2/A3 riders are making their preparations for another festival of cycling that is Ras Dhun na nGall. This year’s event as in previous editions is a 4 stage event and is based once again in the Nesbitt Arms Hotel, Ardara from the 2nd to 4th June 2017 with stages fairly similar to last year. Stage 1 will involve a loop through Kilrane, Frosses, Dunkineely and returning to Ardara over the Nick. Stage 2 will be a hilly timetrial.… Read more
All Geared Up For AmberGreen Tour of Ulster
This May Bank Holiday weekend sees the return of the ‘AmberGreen Tour of Ulster’ to the village of Moy in County Tyrone which will host the start and finish of all 3 stages, from 29th April to 1st May 2017.
The AmberGreen Tour of Ulster is one of Ireland’s longest established races. Established in 1957, the race is attracting elite riders from across Ireland & the UK.

Ward Shows his Strength in Lakeland GP
Adam Ward of Powerhouse Sport continued to show his strength when he won the Lakeland GP yesterday. The event promoted by Lakeland CC saw the riders complete 90km over a rolly course with a couple of steep drags before the finish just outside Enniskillen. Gareth Murray of Ards, who has been getting in to the results recently, was second with Conor Devlin of Island Wheelers in third.
In the 60km A4 race it was Philip Graham (U/A) who ousted home rider Mark McGirr to take top spot. … Read more
Archibald on Fire – Unstoppable in Tour of the North
John Archibald continued to dominate the 2017 Tour of the North when he took the time trial stage this morning with a time of 10m 16.27s which was over 30 seconds faster than David Watson of The Bike House CC. Ed Clemens of Tifosi RT was third. Darnell Moore of Caldwell Cycles and Xeno Young riding for the Ireland Junior team were best of the local riders.
The Tour continued in the afternoon with a circuit course which included five ascents of the Roguery Hill. Once again John Archibald was in the thick of the action getting away in a three man break with Ed Clemens and Roger Aiken of the Ireland Team.… Read more
Fyffe was the Man on Form At East Tyrone GP
Angus Fyffe of Omagh Wheelers continued his string of fine performance this year by taking the East Tyrone GP in style. Fyffe who has ridden with pro-continental outfit the An Post Sean Kelly team stamped his mark on the race early on. The tough six lap race for was run off in glorious sunshine. Darnel Moore of Caldwell Cycles took second place with Alan Bingham of Cuchullain CC in third. East Tyrone Junior, Harvey Barnes, was given special permission to ride this A event and he showed what he was made of by taking fourth place.… Read more
Northwest Classic 2017
Sunday 2nd April saw the inaugural Northwest Classic hosted by Co. Derry’s Northwest Cycling club. 140 A3 and A4 racers of the took to the rolling circuit in near perfect weather conditions.
The A race saw the 60 A3's set off to cover 4 laps and 48miles. The lumpy circuit made for exciting racing with small breaks forming throughout the race. At one point a 5 man breakaway group had 30 seconds on the peloton with Causeway’s Ryan Jamieson ever present at the sharp end.… Read more
Killinchy GP Well Run Event
Killinchy CC ran their inaugural race on Saturday and t was an excellent event. The club put on a great spread at sign-on which was very much appreciated by the officials and riders as sign-on started at 8.15.
The cub promoted three races on the day providing opportunities for all categories to gain points. The A4 riders had to complete four laps of a ten mile lumpy course with a tough uphill finish. In this event it was Josh Daly of VC Iveagh who took the win and it is good to see Josh back competing.… Read more
Lucan’s McDunphy Takes Tour of Ards
The Wirefox Tour of Ards 2017 saw many of the top names in Irish cycling take to the roads around the Ards Peninsula to cover the 140 km course. The race took the riders through many of the small towns and villages on both sides of this coastal route. This classic event would not have been possible without the support of the PSNI who provided a control vehicle and motorbike outriders.
As is the norm with this event the pace was high from the gun and the riders were to average almost 28mph over the distance.… Read more
Northwest Classic Pre-Entry Closes Wed 29th March
Pre-entry closes on Wednesday 29th March for the inaugural Northwest Classic open races for A3 and A4 riders. A limited number of places are still available in both races so sign up to ensure your place. There's a £540 prize fund, with cash prizes for top 5 in each race and for the first lady in each race.

Angus Fyffe Triumphs at Wallace Caldwell
The Wallace Caldwell promoted by Ballymena is one of those one day classics that all riders want to win. With a hard course and aggressive riding it is always an exciting event. Omagh Wheelers rider, Angus Fyffe was the victor this year followed in by Darnell Moore of Caldwell Cycles. Newry's Jude Sands continued his strong start to the season by filling the final podium position.
With the support of the PSNI the race passes through a number of small towns in County Antrim.… Read more
