Curry Is 2016 Winner of Rás Dhun na nGall
Banbridge Mountain biker, James Curry of Sierra Nevada is the winner of the 2016 Rá Dhun na nGall. James donned the Yellow Jersey yesterday taking it from Adam Stenson of Clebridge and today he showed that he had very intention of keeping it. With a number of KoH climbs Curry proved that he can climb as was always up with the first riders over the climbs.

Curry Takes over Yellow in Stage 3 Rás Dhun na nGall
The third stage of Rás Dhun na nGall got underway this afternoon in bright and sunny conditions. The riders had to complete three laps of the eighteen mile circuit from Ardara to Glenties to Narin and back to Ardara. While there were no KoM primes on this stage the course was very lumpy with lots of rises and falls which were leg sapping. To add to the interest there were time bonuses to be had on each lap and these were hotly contested.

Audi GP Now Open for Entry
East Antrim CC Audi will promote the Audi Grand Prix on Saturday 18th June 2016. The event is for A1, A2 & A3 riders with the field limited to 60 riders in total so this is sure to sell out quickly.
The race covers 100kms on the Ballynure circuit with the Race HQ and Sign-On in the Straid Orange Hall, Straid, County Antrim, BT39 9NG. Sign on is 9.30am to 10:30am with the race starting at 11:00am.

Stenson Takes First Yellow in Rás Dhun na nGall
The main street of the small Donegal heritage town of Ardara was a colourful spectacle this evening as the multi-coloured bunting and flags of many nations flapped gently on the warm breeze signalling that the Melting Pot music festival was underway. But on top of this the men and women riders sporting the bright colours of their cycling clubs and teams from all around Ireland added to the buzz signalling that the 2016 Rás Dhun na nGall was about to get underway.
Ray Stanton as chief commissaire paired up with Jack Watson as second Comm, were keeping everyone on their toes regarding the rules and regulations and John Curran in charge of proceedings as Race Director finally the riders were lined up for the rollout ofArdara.… Read more
Start List and Race Info For Rás Dhun na nGall 2016- TT Updated
One of Ulster's most prestigious stage races, Rás Dhun na nGall, takes place this coming weekend based in Ardara, Co Donegal. The event is promoted by Four Masters Cycling Club, Donegal's oldest cycling club. The stage race consists of three road race stages and a time trial and is only open to A2 and A3 riders. A total of one hundred and fifty riders have entered this race and Ardara will be buzzing with riders and their supporters over the weekend.
The first stage is often under-estimated by those new to the race and many a rider has lost valuable time by doing so.… Read more
Newry 3 Day Now Open for Entry
Newry wheelers are promoting the 29th edition of the Newry 3 day on Friday 1st July to Sunday 3rd July. The race is open to A1 Vets, A2, A3 and Junior riders only. Due to restrictions on the race the Newry 3 day has a cap on numbers so it is essential to get your Team entry in on time for it to be considered by the promoting club. Newry will only accept entries from teams. A team can have a maximum of four riders and individual entries will not be accepted.… Read more
Dunloy GP Takes Place in Glorious Sunshine
The sun shone on the hardworking Dunloy CC club when they promoted their Grand Prix of races today. The races took place on the Millbrae circuit which is infamous in local circles for its punishing Millbrae climb. A3 riders were in for a gruelling 71 mile race with the climb appearing all too often. Barry McKenna of West Tyrone CC and the home club's Philip McGuigan managed to get away on their own from the hard chasing peloton. They dug in and held on to their lead until the end where McKenna had the legs for that extra kick to take the win from McGuigan.… Read more
Reilly Takes Red Hand Trophy to Derry
Ryan Reilly of Foyle CC took an impressive win on Satrday when he won the Red Hand Trophy promoted by Ballymena CRC. This race which is one of the oldest in the Ulster calendar has seen many top riders such as Fraser Duncan, Stephen Gallagher aand Sean Wright take wins while the late Billy Kerr of the Promoting club won it three times in 1975, 1977 & 1980. Ryan Connor also of Ballymena TCRC was another one to do the hat trick winning the event in 2001, 2007 & 2009.… Read more
John Mulligan Road Race Open for Entry
The John Mulligan Memorial Road Race which is promoted by Strule Wheelers will be open for entry this evening on Entry Central. Strule Wheelers CC will be running three separate races and promise some exciting racing. The taces take place on Sunday 12th June. Entry for each race is limited to 80 riders respectively. Riders should assume that their entry has been accepted unless they are notified by email that their entry has been placed on the reserve list. Closed Circuit Racing at Bishopscourt Open for Entry
Dromara Cycling Club is hosting a series of races at the Bishopscourt Motorcycling Circuit near Downpatrick County Down on Saturday 4 June 2016. The location boasts a 2.1 mile circuit on 12 metre wide smooth tarmac. There are toilets and showers on site as well as ample parking. The circuit has its own website with plenty of photos.
Dromara will not only be promoting the Emma McMullan Trophy Race for A2/A3 riders and the Ronnie Smyth Cup Race for A4’s but a host of other races for all categories including youth and handcyclists.… Read more
